Dr. Douglas Satterfield Dr. Satterfield has been in the optometric field for 29 years. After graduating with a BA in Physics from BYU, he went on to Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon and completed his Optometry degree. He then worked as an Optometrist for 15 years and as a Fighter Pilot for 5 years in the Armed Forces.
Dr. Satterfield loves his job because he enjoys helping people one-on-one and finds satisfaction in caring for patients and helping them get what they need for their vision. He plans on staying at Insight Eye Care for the next few years until he retires.
Dr. Satterfield enjoys many outdoor activities including camping, hiking, fishing, swimming, and frisbee golf. He also enjoys racquetball, tennis, and traveling with his wife, Martha, as well as spending time with his 6 children and several grandchildren.
Melissa Huebner ABOC Melissa is the owner and office manager here at Insight. She has been an optician for 14 years, becoming ABO Certified in 2008. She opened Insight Eye Care in January, 2008, after managing Knighton Vision for nine years.
Melissa loves the mix of science and being able to interact with so many people at work. She loves her job and plans to stay with Insight on a long-term basis.
Melissa likes to read all types of books and do many different crafts. She and her husband, Joel, are the parents of four beautiful boys, the newest just born on September 29, 2008.
Steve CarlsonSteve Carlson is a longtime optician with more than 20 years experience. He is an expert in eyeglass repair, adjustments and lens grinding.
Steve is a passionate BYU football fan and also works for BYU as an IT professional. He loves spending time with his wife and four childre.
Laura MeachamLaura is the newest member of our staff here at Insight. Laura LOVES glasses and thinks they belong in every wardrobe. She is a great Frame stylist and loves helping people pick "fabulous" eyewear!
Laura is a part time student at UVU and is studying Architecture and design.
Alyshondra Stay ABOCAli is currently studying English with an editing minor at BYU and has been with Insight Eye Care since January, 2008, after working for Knighton Vision since June, 2007. She recently became ABO Certified.
Ali loves the balance of customer service and technical ability involved in opticianry and enjoys helping patients find eye care solutions--especially frame styles--that they feel good about. As far as career plans, she is still exploring options.
Ali is a voracious reader, especially of fairy tales. She also enjoys jazz music, cooking, and playing with her seven younger brothers and sisters.
